the project

"I suspect, like myself, you wander aimlessly looking for answers, but you’ll always come back to this feeling of loss, until you are ready to be whole."

a film and interactive gallery experience
(in progress)

This 30-minute stop-motion film and corresponding interactive gallery project started as a nameless, odd-ball collection of 10 years of independent works drawing from Our relationship to the landscape (mainly inspired by the natural resource dialogue in Southern California) and to Our mental health. One fateful night in Santa Barbara, CA, 2024, a story burst from the canvases and began to flow, cutting through years of creative blockage, and braiding together once-fragmented ideas and emotions. In an attempt to tackle a loss of love and the weight we carry in the face of tech-centric, blending realities, the goal of this project is to act as a means of connection, to ourselves, to each other, and to the landscapes we exist in. The project is meant to serve as a suggestive starting point and a collaboration pre- and post-production, producing a range of perspectives so that we may all Bloom Together.

Britt rhodimer

Britt Rhodimer is a 30-year old acrylic surrealist painter with shallow roots found all over Southern California. She spent most of her life in school, earning a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a Master's in Landscape Architecture. Through her studies she clung to varying representations of life, and actively seeks to find balance between the creations of the ingenuitive, yet wasteful, ego and the restorative effects of selfless stewardship.
